North Phoenix Christian Soccer Club
Under the direction of Myles Grunewald for nearly 40 years, the soccer club has been providing refugee children the opportunity to experience the Gospel and play soccer on a competitive level. The club is comprised of over 100 students from 25 different countries.
If you would like to volunteer by coaching, driving players to and from games, or providing meals for the players. Contact Alondra Ruiz.
NPHX Food & Clothing Closet
We are open to the public every week where we provide food and clothing for those in need in our community. If you would like to donate clothing and/or food or volunteer to help serve in this ministry, contact Lorri Paetz.
Arms of Love
With over 19,000 kids in foster care in Arizona alone, Arizona Baptist Children Services through Arms of Love have set a goal to develop supportive relationships with foster families and reach them with the love of Christ. We are able to provide a satellite office on our Central Campus in order to educate & support families to foster or adopt.
House of Hope/ House of Refuge
House of Hope/House of Refuge provides a safe and sober transitional living environment helping to restore men and women through full time work, Biblical teaching and fellowship. They are encouraged, equipped, and transformed into who God created them to be. If you would like to serve by being a mentor or part of a family support team contact Julie Supplee at 602-678-0223 or visit their website.
Joni & Friends
Committed to reaching individuals and families affected by disability, Joni & Friends trains, disciples, and mentors them as they learn to use their gifts. They support the church as we integrate those who are disabled into the fabric of our worship, fellowship, and outreach.
Joni and Friends is answering the call in the Gospel of Luke 14, “invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed…make them come in so my house will be full.”
Even the most broken situations can be made whole because of the Gospel. Working to bring hope and restoration to prisoners, their families and communities impacted by incarceration, this ministry gives prisoners a second chance. We’re partnering to help them find a new life path through faith in Jesus Christ.
AZ Disaster Relief
When you’ve seen a disaster on the news in the last 50 years, what you may not have seen is the Southern Baptist Relief (SBDR) volunteers who were already on the scene–and they remained long after news cameras left town. As the third-largest disaster response team in the nation, this network of state-based volunteer teams do more than just clean up. They bring the healing of Christ to those whose lives have been shattered. To learn more about the Arizona SBDR or if you would like to be trained and serve on a team, visit azsbc or contact our church representative Martin McElhaney.
Changing Lives Center
As the only faith-based recovery program in the region offering long-term, comprehensive services to women and children, the Changing Lives Center (CLC) helps to transform people from the inside out. The CLC has gone from serving 22 women and 20 children in 2012, to nearly 100 women and 36 children in 2018.
NPHX has partnered with several schools in the central corridor where we serve the school’s personnel and administration through teacher appreciation lunches, assistance in hearing and vision testing, campus clean up and volunteering at the annual Love Our Schools Day. If you would like to volunteer contact Lorri Paetz.
The twofold mission of SISTER Ministries is to share the love of Jesus with formerly incarcerated women with the hope they come to know Him as their personal Savior and Lord of their lives, and address their physical, emotional, and mental health needs through a comprehensive network of community connections. For ways to serve in this ministry, email our church representative, Juliana McFadden or call 602-684-3458
